Mitchell J. “Mitch” Pauline

Mitchell J. Pauline, age 54, of Van Meter, Pa., passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 in UPMC Mercy Hospital.

He was born in North Charleroi, Pa., on Monday, April 2, 1962, the son of the now late Dorothy (Vindivich) Pauline Evans and James Pauline and the stepson of the late Gerrie.

Mitch was a Millwright, Welder for ArcelorMittal Steel.

He attended Olive Branch Baptist Church.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting.

He was former Vice-President of the Rostraver Historical Society and was an avid participant of the historic war re-enactments. He loved helping people and sharing his knowledge and was a member of the League of Separated Tribes where he was known as ‘Red Hawk’.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha (Maul) Pauline; son, Nicholas Pauline; daughters: Heather Pauline and Jessica Pauline; sisters: Jamie (Patrick) Garbart and Mary Dot Evans; niece, Teresa Garbart; loving cousins: Kathy Slomiany, Debbie Slomiany, Stan Slomiany; step siblings: Raymond and Renee; and his beloved dog, Sculley.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the OLIVE BRANCH BAPTIST CHURCH, 296 PA Route 981, Belle Vernon, Pa. Following visitation, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend D. W. Norton officiating.
