George E. ‘Jim’ Susa Sr., age 84, of Denver, Lancaster County, Pa., died at home on Monday, May 9, 2016.

He was born in Thompson No. 1, Fayette County, Pa., a son of George A. Susa and Christina (Burless) Susa.

‘Jim’ graduated from Redstone Township High School, Class of 1949.

He was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

He was past co-owner and President of Cocalico Biologicals, Inc., Stevens.

A supporter of local charities, he was an avid traveler, enjoyed reading, reminiscing, and a good joke.

He was married to Sharon M. (Campbell) Susa for 41 years.

Also surviving are his son, G. Edward (Anne Pinkerton) Susa Jr of Monrovia, Maryland; sisters: Jean Gmutza of Filbert, Pa., Mary Ann Arnold of Masontown Pa. brother, Daniel (Shirley) Kish of Brook Park, Ohio.

Viewings will be on Thursday, May 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, May 13, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. from the GOOD FUNERAL HOME, (717.336.4919), 34 North Reamstown Road, Reamstown, PA 17567.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 320 Church Ave. Ephrata, PA 17522 on Friday at 11 a.m.

Private entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
