Warrant issued for woman allegedly found with heroin at crash
State police issued an arrest warrant Thursday for a Coal Center woman who was allegedly found with heroin after a head-on collision in Menallen Township in January.
Natasha Amatuccio, 30, told police in July she had previously used heroin, but relapsed about one week before the crash because of personal problems. She had vague memories of the day of the crash and did not remember using that day, but said if heroin was found on her, it was hers, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in her case.
She was flown from the scene of the crash Jan. 19 to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Paramedics told police a liquid was found in her bra. Medical records investigators obtained from the hospital showed an unconfirmed positive result for opiates, according to court documents.
Rita Packan told police she was driving her mother to the doctor on Route 40 when Amatuccio crossed over the center line and hit her vehicle.
She was treated at Uniontown Hospital for a fractured sternum, neck, back and ankle, cuts and irregular heartbeat, according to the affidavit.
Amatuccio is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle filed before Magisterial District Judge Jennifer Jeffries.
