60-year-old man dies in Georges Twp. mobile home fire

A 60-year-old man died in a mobile home fire in Georges Township early Sunday morning.

The Fayette County Coroner has not released the name of the victim. The cause of the death appears to be smoke inhalation, according to scene specialist John Kondrla.

According to Fayette County 911 dispatch, state police along with Smithfield and Fairchance Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the fire around 1 a.m. on Miller Street near Miller Trailer Court Road. The Fayette County Coroner was called shortly after.

State police fire marshal was called to investigate.
