Support groups

n Survivors of Incest Anonymous meeting, 6:30-8 p.m. first and third Monday of the month (except for holidays), Mount Macrina Retreat Center, Uniontown. The group is a 12-step recovery program for women and men, age 18 or older, who were sexually abused by a trusted person as a child. Information: peopleofcourage@gmail.com or siawso.org.

Monthly meetings will include a guest speaker, light refreshments, blood pressure readings, medication review and any other information requested. n American Cancer Society’s Look Good…Feel Better will be held 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 14 at the Robert E. Eberly Pavilion, 51 Brewer Dr., Uniontown. The free program helps women who are currently undergoing, about to undergo, or have recently completed cancer treatment learn to cope with the appearance related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self-confidence and control over their lives. Courses

n Childbirth and Labor Preparation Courses are offered each month at Uniontown Hospital. This month’s courses will be offered 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 16 in Community Room 1 located in the Main Lobby of the hospital. During the labor preparation classes Family Beginnings Birthing Center, nurses teach about pregnancy discomforts, labor and delivery, pain relief options, potential complications, breathing and relaxation, self and infant care, etc. A Tour of the Family Beginnings Birthing Center will also be offered during class.
