Margaret “Peg” (Roebuck) Benya
Margaret ‘Peg’ (Roebuck) Benya, 101, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at her home with her loving son Adam and his fiancée Bonnie by her side on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
She was born on November 17, 1914 in Youngstown, Pa., the youngest daughter of John and Elizabeth (Demchuk) Roebuck,
‘Peg’ was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 47 Ladies Auxiliary in Uniontown and AMVETS Post 103 Auxiliary in Hopwood.
Peg was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Adam ‘Abe’ Benya on July 8, 1974; parents; and her three sisters and four brothers.
Peg leaves to cherish her memory her son Adam ‘Junior’ Benya of Uniontown and his fiancée Bonnie Henry of Connellsville, Pa.; a special nephew Jack Bozurick and his companion Nancy Kraynak of Monroeville, Pa.; and other numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pa., on Wednesday, November 9, from 1 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, November 10, 2016 until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held with Reverend Father James D. Tringhese and Pastor Mike officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa
