Ernest D. Giachetti
Ernest D. Giachetti, age 94, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Uniontown, Pa., son of Modestine Giachetti and Catherine (Sylvester) Giachetti.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, August Giachetti, Joseph Giachetti, Lawrence Giachetti, Guyton Giachetti, Carmen Giachetti, and Nicholas Giachetti; and his sister, Mary Giachetti.
Ernest was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.
He worked as a truck driver for Cantalamessa Cleaners, Quality Cleaners, and PennDOT.
He was a 50-year member of the Sons of Italy.
Ernest liked to fish, play billiards, walk, and play the harmonica.
Left to cherish Ernest’s memory are his wife of 64 years, Constance L. Skursha Giachetti; son, Modestine Giachetti of Uniontown, Pa.; one grandson, Christopher Giachetti; three great grandchildren: Tyler Giachetti, Cameron Giachetti and Christian Giachetti; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUINERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania where family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 10, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Friday, November 11, 2016 in the funeral home from 8:30 until 9:15 a.m. when the Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Funeral Mass celebrating Ernest’s life will be held in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
A Parish Wake Service will be held in funeral home on Thursday, November 10, at 3:00 p.m
