Margaret Leonelli Rohlf
Margaret ‘Marge’ Leonelli Rohlf, age 91 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at home with her loving family by her side.
She was born July 22, 1925 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late Venanzio and Philomena Silvestri Leonielli.
She is the last member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her brother Armand Leonelli and his wife Elinor Kikta Leonelli and her sister Edith Holliday and her husband Donald Holliday. She was also preceded in death by her dear friend, James B. Girod.
Marge graduated from the former St. John High School in 1942.
She was a lifetime member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
She was a former president of the Jefferson Catholic Club. She was a member of Business & Professional Women, Friends of the Library and several birthday clubs. She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs.
After graduation, Marge worked as a secretary and stenographer for several law firms in Uniontown, after which she opened her own secretarial-notary public office in the Gallatin National Bank building, which office she maintained until 1967, at which time she accepted the position of court reporter for the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas of Pennsylvania, which position she maintained for 26 years until her retirement in 1993.
Marge leaves behind two wonderful sons (whom she loved dearly) and their families: Mark Allen Rohlf and his wife, Jane Englund and their children: Jesse Englund-Rohlf and Emma Hurdle and son Christopher Lance Rohlf and wife Cindy Rohlf. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa. where friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the funeral home from 8:30 until 9:00 a.m. when Prayers of Transference will be held. A Funeral Mass celebrating Margaret’s life will be held in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. with Father James Tringhese as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 88 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.
