Shirley C. (Calkins) Ellis passed away peacefully Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her home in Riverton, New Jersey.
Shirley was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania
She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Riverton, and The Porch Club of Riverton.
She was co-owner and vice president of Calkins Media.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin.
She is survived by her children, Stanley Ellis and his wife Susan of Riverton, Bradley Ellis and his wife Suzanne of Purcellville, Virginia, and Wesley Ellis of Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
She was the beloved grandmother of Stephen Ellis and his wife Heather of Birdsboro, Pa Ryan Ellis of Philadelphia, Curran Ellis of Riverton, Samantha Ellis of Purcellville, Virginia, Kiersten Ellis of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Daniel Ellis of Purcellville, Virginia, and great-grandmother to Sean, son of Stephen and Heather Ellis. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandra Hardy of Lower Makerfield, Pa., and S. W. ‘Bill’ Calkins of Washington Crossing, Pa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 304 Lippincott Avenue, Riverside, NJ 08077, where the family will be receiving friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
