Two more suspects waive charges in Fairchance shooting
Two additional suspects charged with shooting at a Fairchance home in July waived their charges to the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Tuesday.
Noah Newland, 19, of Uniontown and Joshua Allen Supensky, 17, of Masontown were allegedly involved in the shooting which police said started with “a beef over a girl.”
Officials said a motion was filed to move Supensky’s case to juvenile court.
His older brother, Eric Robert Supensky, 26, of Masontown and a forth suspect, Justin Keith Porreca, 19, of Uniontown waived their charges in October.
Duplicate charges filed against both Supenskys and Porreca were withdrawn.
No charges were amended for Newland, according to court documents.
Newland told officers he picked up his friends the night of July 26 to “smoke weed and drive around.” He said he “heard gunshots being fired” on South Oak Street early the next morning as he was driving.
He said he heard Porreca and Joshua Supensky laughing and saying “that was fun.”
The younger Supensky allegedly admitted to firing several shots, and said the four of them conspired to “shoot up” the house.
His brother told police Newland had previously fought with one of the residents, Joshua Layhue, over a girl. He said the shooting was Newland’s idea.
Four additional people were inside the house at the time of the shooting, according to police.
Porreca denied any involvement.
The four are facing charges including criminal attempt to commit homicide, conspiracy to commit criminal homicide and discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.
They are lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bonds.
