A Connellsville man was charged with performing a sexual act with a young girl in 2011.

Duran Nigel Williams, 31, is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and indecent assault with a person less than 13 years of age.

Police said, in April 2011, Williams was home alone with the alleged victim, whom police said was about 5 at the time, when he told her to go to her room.

Williams allegedly told the girl, who is now 10, to perform a sex act on him. Police said they were interrupted when the girl’s mother and brothers returned home.

Police said Williams confessed to act in January 2014. He was charged later that year but was not arraigned on the charges until earlier this month.
