Greene County man charged, allegedly solicited drugs for sex
A Greene County man was arrested Wednesday morning after police said he allegedly exposed himself to a teenager while he was waiting to purchase cocaine.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the case, Lawrence Michael Plavi, 35, of Nemacolin told police that he offered an 18-year-old girl crack if she would perform a sex act on him.
Plavi allegedly approached the girl while she was at a bus stop around 7 a.m. Wednesday in Cumberland Township. He was at the bus stop waiting for a friend from whom he was to purchase more crack, police said.
Plavi asked the girl several times if she wanted to “smoke his crack,” police said.
When the teen repeatedly refused, Plavi allegedly exposed himself to her while performing a sex act on himself. After one of the teen’s friends arrived, they called 911 and left the scene.
Plavi allegedly told police, “I thought she was attractive and I am horny,” when asked why he did it. He told officers he had “smoked crack during the night and early morning.”
While in custody, Plavi also asked officers numerous times “if he could have his pipe back so that he could scrape it and smoke it to get high,” according to the complaint.
Plavi was charged with attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent exposure, criminal solicitation to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, open lewdness and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $35,000.
