Mary P. Filicky
Mary P. (Rifnosky) Filicky, 93, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, in the Uniontown Hospital, surrounded by her loving children.
She was born on March 17, 1923, daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Adamik) Rifnosky.
In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Filicky; sister, Irene Pieczynski; and her daughter Patricia McDonald.
Mary was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church and St. Mary Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
Above all, Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sadly missed.
Left to cherish her memory, are her children: Marjorie Thomas (Leonard) of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, Edward Filicky Jr. (Elviria) of Uniontown, Stephen Filicky (Pamela) of Tracy, Calif., Lawrence Filicky of Uniontown, Anthony Filicky of Uniontown, Jerome Filicky (Susan) of Uniontown, Vincent Filicky of Pittsburgh, and Joan Hull (James) of Gibsonia, Pa.; grandchildren: Leonard Thomas III (Maria), Mark Thomas (Cori), Dawn Filicky, Matthew Filicky (Anita), Johan Filicky, Erin Cleland (Andrew), Christopher Filicky, Lauren Over (Cory), Jacob Filicky, Amanda Filicky, Megan Hull, and Matthew Hull; great grandchildren: Dylan Filicky, Derek Brainard, Paige Thomas, Elise Thomas, Cameron Filicky, Erik Filicky, and Madison Filicky. Mary also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Union-town, Pa., on Friday, November 18, from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, November 19, Until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa.
Interment services will be held at Mt. Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
The Parish Wake services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday.
