Bernard Paul Orgovan
Bernard Paul Orgovan, age 87, passed away at his home in West Branch, Michigan on Friday, November 18, 2016 with his family by his side.
He was born on August 29, 1929 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Charles and Julia (Kozak) Orgovan.
Bernard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Michigan Consolidated Gas Company after 44 years.
He was a craftsman, an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia; siblings, Frank, Martin, Thelma Elek, Charles, Edward, and Teresa Hanzelyy; and sons, Bernard Orgovan Jr. and Charles Orgovan.
Bernard is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Orgovan step sons: Jim (Faith) Denton and Scott Denton; daughter in law, Janet Orgovan; grand daughters: Teri (Kevin) Jones, Hannah Rozar and Nina Orgovan; great grandchildren: Monica Jones, Zachery Jones, and Colton Jones; brother, Vincent (Marge) Orgovan; sister-in-law, Ann Orgovan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the STEUERNOL &Amp; MCLAREN FUNERAL HOME, 109 East Houghton Avenue, West Branch, MI 48661 (989.345.0112) will begin on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Celebration of Life Mass at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Father T. Patrick Maher as the Celebrant.
The family will begin to receive friends at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Peaceful Acres in West Branch where an activity and outdoors fund will be created in Bernard’s memory.
