Mildred “Midge” (Lewis) Plevin
Mildred (Lewis) Plevin ‘Midge’, 88, Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born January 5, 1928 in Uniontown, Pa. daughter of Joseph Lewis and Helen (Kashmir) Lewis.
In Midge’s younger days she enjoyed catering to her family with great cooking and baking. She loved having her grandchildren around and playing endlessly with them.
In the past year, she made her home with her daughter Judy and husband Jerry.
She loved telling everyone ‘I Love You’.
She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance and also The Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
Her parents; husband, Walter Plevin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Helen Plevin Sr.; grandsons, Jerad Angeline and Tommy Plevin; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews preceded her in death.
Surviving are her three children: Thomas ‘Tom’ Plevin of Uniontown, Pa., Patti Ivers and husband Martin of Seattle, Washington and Judy Angeline and husband Jerry of Uniontown, Pa.; grandchildren: Andrea Horvath, Jonathan Ivers and wife Robyn, Michael Ivers, Joshua Angeline and wife Lindsey, Jessica Angeline; five great grandchildren: Khloe Deaton, Kaleb Angeline, Karson Angeline, Stanley Horvath and Christopher Horvath and their father, Stanley ‘Stush’ Horvath; sister, Eleanor Zuzak; and sister-in-law, Ann Jane Miller.
Although she will be greatly missed, she is now at peace and flying high with the angels.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 until 9:30 a.m. when the Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, Pa.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery Fairchance, Pa.
The Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary in the Funeral Home today at 5:30 p.m.
