Scott William “Stretch” Casterwiler
Scott William ‘Stretch’ Casterwiler, 52, Dunbar Township Fayette County Pa., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born August 20, 1964 in Connellsville, Pa., son of Betty Harper Casterwiler of Dunbar Township and the late Homer W. Casterwiler.
Scott graduated from Connellsville Area High School, class of 1983.
He worked as the Manager of Pechin’s Beverage in Dunbar for 32 years. Scott was very proud of the fact that in those 32 years he never missed a day of work.
Scott attended the Pennsville Baptist Church.
He was a avid supporter of the Connellsville High School sports teams —– especially the boys and girls basketball teams and the football team.
He also supported and loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In addition to his mother, Scott will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving wife, Kerri Ann (Mohar) Casterwiler; and his faithful, loving pet dogs, Sassy and Peanut.
Family and Friends will be received today from 2 to 9 p.m. in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green St., Connellsville, (724.628.1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Bixel officiating.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Pennsville Baptist Church, 3298 Richey Road, Mount Pleasant, PA 15666 or The Family House of Pittsburgh, 5001 Baum Boulevard, Suite 545, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 in memory of Scott William Casterwiler.
