Virginia L. (Edenfield) McCartney
Virginia L. (Edenfield) McCartney, 86, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Uniontown Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 20, 1930 in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Edward and Minnie (Show) Edenfield.
She was a prior member of Vanderbilt Church of the Nazarene and was a current member of the Church of the Nazarene, Uniontown
She worked as a Bus and Van Driver and had also worked as a Switchboard Operator for Bell Telephone.
She loved butterflies and hummingbirds.
Virginia’s greatest passion was taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur I. McCartney (2004); great-grand daughter, Paige Myers; brothers, Edward, JR, Francis, Stenson, Ewing, Wallace, Alfred; sister, Jean; two infant siblings; and her parents.
She is survived by her children: Benjamin A. McCartney, Terry O. McCartney and wife Judy, Rebecca McCartney-Myers and husband Daniel, Deborah L. McCartney-Hennessey and husband Daniel, Karen L. McCartney-Mulac and husband Joseph, Keith E. McCartney and wife Heidi; grandchildren: Jennifer Rubin and husband Jeff, John Myers and wife Amanda, Jason Myers, Erin Owens and husband Dan, Brianne McNally and husband Jon, Nicole Benzio and husband Benjamin, Ryan Mulac and wife Elizabeth, Mackenzie McCartney and Brandon McCartney; great grandchildren: Nathan Rubin, Benjamin Rubin, Morghan Myers, Jackson Myers, Hudson Myers and Carson Myers Carter Owens, Jade Benzio, Adora Benzio; two great grandchildren who are on the way; and brother Walter Edenfield and wife Sylvia.
Family and Friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Pastor Lyons officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
