Thelma Jean (Nelson) McClelland, 91, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Monday, November 21, 2016 at Hillside Manor, Uniontown, surrounded by her loving children.

She was born on November 15, 1925 in Lemont Furnace, Pa., a daughter of Albert Nelson and Lavina Lois (Clements) Nelson.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harry R. McClelland, in June 2010; parents; sisters, Christina Nelson and Nellie Nelson; and brothers, Thomas Nelson and Charles Nelson.

Jean was a member of Central Christian Church in Uniontown. She was also a member of the Central Christian Church Ladies Dartball League and former member of Gems Bowling League.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, embroidering.

Jean loved to travel with her husband often times packing up their car not knowing which direction they would go.

She delivered meals for the Meals on Wheels Program for over 30 years and, above all, loved her family. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother who will be dearly missed!

Left to cherish her memory are her children Robert C. McClelland and his wife Leisel of Uniontown, Cindy A. McClelland of Uniontown and Shirley J. Roddy and her husband Daniel of Custer, South Dakota; grandchildren: Brad McClelland and his wife Samantha, Shawn McClelland and his wife Tia, Jacob Roddy and his fiancée Jordyn Lewis, and Luke Roddy; great grandchildren: Isabella, Olivia, Ava, Alina, Isaiah; sisters: Lavina Lois Rockwell of Stow, Ohio and Anna Mae Kern of Lake Oswego, Oregon; sister-in-law, Nancy Nelson of Austintown, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pennsylvania on Friday, November 25, from 3 to 8 p.m.

Additional visitation will be held at CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 23 South Gallatin Avenue Uniontown, on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., which is the hour of Service. Rev. Heather Simpson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
