Alyce Lyla (Thompson) Kropp
Alyce Lyla (Thompson) Kropp, 78, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Everson, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Uniontown Hospital with family at her side.
Alyce was born on November 14, 1938 at the Brownsville Hospital, the daughter of the late Frank W. and Wanda J. (Guerrieri) Thompson.
She was married to the love of her life of 54 years, Donald R. Kropp (predeceased September 2014).
Alyce was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She graduated from Redstone High School and was previously employed at Anchor Hocking Glass, Marshall’s, and TJ Maxx.
She was a long time member of the Everson Evangelical Church.
Alyce enjoyed reading, going to the movies, shopping, and playing slot machines.
Alyce was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers football.
She surrounded herself with angels, red birds, all things black and gold and bling.
Alyce will be greatly missed by her loving family: children, Wanda L. Simpson and her husband Don of Hopwood, Pa., Bonnie S. Marrone and her husband Gary of Pittsburgh, Pa., Donald R. Kropp Jr. and his wife Mollie of Fairfax, Virginia; her three granddaughters, Rachael Sunyak and her husband Jacob, Tori Beegle and her husband Zachary, and Nicole Marrone; her great-granddaughter, Lillian Grace Sunyak; her sisters, Barbara Collins and Sharon Chandler; her brother, Paul Scott Thompson and his wife Sue. She had numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank W Thompson Jr.
Private Funeral Service was held at the DONALD R CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa., on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenny Rockwell officiating.
Graveside Committal Service and interment followed in the Scottdale Cemetery.
