Robert E. Dice Jr.
Robert E. Dice Jr., 71, of Smithfield, Pa., died on Sunday, November 27, 2016.
He was born on June 20, 1945 in Georges Township, Fayette County, Pa., the son of Robert E. Dice Sr. and Norma G. (Wilson) Dice.
Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors.
Robert was employed with Operating Engineers Local 66 with Marsolino Construction for over 40 years.
His parents, his wife Linda L. (Wilson) Dice, sister Judy Dice, brother Joseph “Ed” Dice, preceded him in death.
Robert is survived by his son, Robert C. (Shelley) Dice of Smithfield, Pa.; daughter, Melinda K. Marva and friend Tom Gaspar of Smock, Pa.; grand children: Charles N. Dice of Smithfield, Pa., Jennifer N. Dice of Uniontown, Pa., Crystal L. Zubovich, Uniontown, Pa.; sisters and brother: Jeanie (Arthur) Swaney of North Carolina, Linda K. (Bob) Parnell of North Carolina, James (Sharon) Dice of Smithfield, Pa., Beverly Dice of Fairchance, Pa., Debbie Ann (Charlie) Golden of Fairchance, Pa., Donna “Dee Dee” (Will) Wigal of North Carolina, Pamela (Clint) Brown of Florida, Paula (David) Cunningham of Washington, Pa., and Melissa “Missy” (Terry) Meadows of Smithfield, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will greet family and friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, December 1, until 11:00 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor George W. McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
