Adele (Gismondi) Kezmarsky, age 74, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, September 1, 2016 in the Mount Macrina Manor with her loving family by her side.
She was born on May 16, 1942 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania daughter of the now late Frances (Guerrieri) Gismondi and Amadee Gismondi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving sister and best friend, Filomena Glad; brother-in-law, Jerome Glad; and nephew, Bernard T. Glad.
Adele was a member of the Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church.
She was a 1960 graduate of Uniontown Area High School. For the past 50 years, she was a member of her class reunion committee. She took great pride in planning the reunions. She enjoyed her classmates and friendships that she was able to keep through her involvement with the reunions.
She was known for her beautiful singing voice and taught her love of music to her sons.
She was so proud of her son Rob for coaching the boys’ basketball team at Uniontown. She was one of the Red Raiders’ biggest fans. She loved to attend the games and support the team and was “Coach K’s” biggest fan.
Adele was also very proud of the Kezmarsky Funeral Home. She made many sacrifices to help in any way possible to make the funeral home successful.
Adele was a kind and gentle lady. Her love of her family was her greatest gift. She learned from her parents that family was all that truly matters in life. She enjoyed the little things like preparing holiday dinners, traveling to the basketball games, her reunions, and most of all being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her loving sons: Stephen E. Kezmarsky III and wife Nancy and Robert A. Kezmarsky and wife Cortney both of Uniontown. She was known as “Nana” to her five grandchildren, whom she adored: Steven Addison Kezmarsky and Rebecca Johnson, Alexa Lee George and husband Matthew, Christian Amadee Kezmarsky, Kiley Elizabeth Kezmarsky, and Jacob John Kezmarsky. She cherished her three great-grandchildren: Kaden Robert Kezmarsky, Grasyn Elizabeth George, and Brynn Alexa George; her loving nephew, Dr. Lawrence J. Glad and wife Nancy and children Elise, Emma, Ethan, Emile, Elora, Ean; sister-in-law, Wanda Bryte and brother-in-law Darrell Bryte, their daughter Melanie Bilohlavek and husband Steve and their children Allison and Alexander; great-niece, Veronica Glad; nephew, Paul Smolley and wife Cathy; niece, Anna (Smolley) Polito and husband Ed and their family; other relatives; many friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today Sunday, September 4, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday morning until 8:45 a.m. when Parting Prayers will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in the Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in the Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown.
A Parish Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 2:00 p.m.
The Altar Society will recite the Rosary immediately following the Parish Wake Service.
