Betty O. (Lehman) Wilson, L.P.N.
Betty O. (Lehman) Wilson, L.P.N., 89 years of Bethelboro, Pa., passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 in the Uniontown Hospital with loving family and friends by her side.
She was born August 28, 1927 in Dunbar, Pa.
Betty graduated from Dunbar Township High School, Class of 1945.
She later worked in Connellsville, Pa., at The Spaghetti Factory.
In addition to raising her children, she held various jobs and later in life she returned to school and earned her Licensed Practical Nurse license.
She worked for many years in the Uniontown area as a healthcare professional.
Betty’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband throughout the United States.
In 1947, she married Allen H. Wilson Sr. Their love of 60 years ended upon his death in 2007.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, Curtis E. Lehman and Harriet M. (Black) Lehman; and a sister, Jean (Lehman) Frye.
Surviving are a son, Allen H. Wilson Jr. and his wife Suzanne (Wroblewski) Wilson of Uniontown, Pa.; daughter Deborah (Wilson) Yartz and her husband Charles of Cranberry Lake, New York; a grandson, Allen J. Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia; granddaughter, Wendy Pennington of Uniontown, Pa.; a great granddaughter, Ashley Pennington and her husband Drew Enoch of Uniontown, Pa.; a brother Curtis Lehman of Weirton, West Virginia; two sisters: Patricia Baughman and husband Robert and Roberta Lovell all of Lowellville, Ohio; a niece, Beverly Ann Bish of Schenley, Pa.; a cousin, Maryann McGivern of Ambridge, Pa.; her close friend, Garnet Clark; and other nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SHELL FUNERAL HOME INC., 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today Sunday, September 4, from Noon until 2 p.m. at which time a Service will be held with the Rev. Scott R. McCormick officiating.
Interment will be held Tuesday, September 6, in Sylvan Heights Cemetery
Visitation was also held Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
