Sara Leah Parnell
Sara Leah (Hull) Parnell of Lafayette, Louisiana died Saturday August 20, 2016 after a brief illness. She was 90 years old.
Sara was born on December 23, 1925 in Wharton Furnace, Pa., lived in Lemont Furnace for most of her adult life, and moved to Louisiana upon the death of her husband.
Daughter of William Jacob Hull Sr. and Bertha Leah (Hall) Hull, she was predeceased by her parents; husband James Parnell of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; their son, James Michael Parnell of Cardington, Ohio; brothers: Jacob Hull, Abraham, and John Hull; and sister, Edna Smithburger.
She is survived by one sister, Susie Jane Myers of Markleysburg, Pa.; two daughters: Linda L. Parnell of Tallahassee, Florida and Sandra S. (Thomas) Stewart of Lafayette, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and eight great-grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Ceremony and Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
