Esther A. (Bruno) Watson
Esther A. (Bruno) Watson, age 82, Dunbar, Pa., peacefully entered her eternal rest Monday, September 5, 2016 at Always Care Personal Home, Connellsville, Pa., after a brief illness.
She was born August 3, 1934 in Lemont, Pa., daughter of Lawrence and Rosemary Bruno.
Esther graduated from Dunbar Township High School, Class of 1952.
She was a former part-time employee for Marietta’s Newsstand, Thrift Drug and Pechin’s
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Saint Aloysius Church and a CCD Instructor for many years. She had much love and affection for her CCD students who all brought her joy and happiness in return.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Watson (with whom she would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Monday, September 5th); daughter, Mary Ellen Watson; and by parents.
She is survived by daughter, Susan Watson of Dunbar, Pa.; granddaughter, Rebecca Cunningham of Uniontown, Pa.; sisters: Laureen Nicholson and husband Bob and Mary Pat Pastors and husband George all of Dunbar, Pa., and Regina Hughes (wife of the late Sturge Hughes) of Farmington, Pa.
Many thanks and much appreciation is extended to Esther’s caring family Zaka Ullah and the Staff at Always Care Personal Care Home and to the Amedisys Hospice.
The family will receive friends on SATURDAY September 10th, 2016 from 8:30 until 10:00 a.m. at the SAINT ALOYSIUS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 459 Ranch Road, Dunbar, Pa., where a Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Father Micah E. Kozoil as the Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery under the direction of the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville PA 15425 (724.628.9033).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution in memory of Esther Bruno Watson can be sent to the Saint Aloysius CCD Program, 459 Ranch Road, Dunbar, PA 15431.
