Gerald L. Intorre
Gerald L. Intorre “Jerry” 73 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on September 6, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side after a long courageous battle of cancer.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Intorre Sr. and Marian J. (Sokol) Intorre; brother, Joseph Intorre Jr. and grandson, Eric Michael Lowe-Intorre.
Surviving are his loving and caring wife of 50 years, JoAnn (Kaiser) Intorre; daughters, Theresa Intorre, Uniontown, Pa. and Tammy Intorre and husband Christopher W. Smith, Fairchance, Pa.; granddaughter, Megan Jo Smith, Fairchance, Pa.; grandson, Brandon L. Smith, Fairchance, Pa. and great grandson, Gage Lowe, Hopwood, Pa.; Also surviving are very close nieces that he raised: Sara (Myers) Bowman and husband George Bowman, Jr. of Masontown, Pa. and their children: Ralph, Hilari, and George III and Sandy Myers of Greensboro, North Carolina and many sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. A big thanks to his brother-in-law and best friend, Steve Riba and his wife Debbie for all of their help and support.
Jerry attended and graduated from Saint Vincent School of the Deaf.
He was a licensed barber who was retired, a certified welder and a humorist man with an amazing loving personality, and had a genuine heart of gold.
He loved being on his computer and video chating with his deaf friends.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m., the hour of service with Mr. Steve Riba and Reverend James Dice officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
