Phyllis M. Shimko (nee Berndt), age 83 of Macedonia, passed away August 27, 2016.

Beloved wife of John E. Shimko; loving mother of Richard A. (Nada) Shimko Sr. and Jacqueline (Neil (deceased)) Cencer; cherished grandmother of Eric (Britney) and Richard Jr. (Maureen); dear sister of 5.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Katherine Berndt of Uniontown, Pa. and granddaughter Kathryn.

Family received friends from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the BLESSING-HINE FUNERAL HOME, 8592 DARROW RD. TWINSBURG, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held, with Fr. Kevin Shemuga officiating, at Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 9080 Shepard Rd. Macedonia, OH 44056 on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 10am. Interment was at All Saints Cemetery Northfield, OH
