Juvenile hospitalized after accidental gunshot wound in Wharton Twp.

A juvenile male was airlifted to a nearby hospital after suffering an accidental gunshot wound Saturday afternoon in Wharton Township, police said.

State police, Fayette EMS, and Farmington VFD responded to the call at 3:41 p.m. of a child that suffered an accidental gunshot wound in his arm at 357 Elliotsville Road in Farmington.

The name of the child and his condition is currently unknown. State police are investigating.
