Man found shot to death in Canton Township home

State police are investigating the shooting death of a Canton Township man whose body was found early Monday.

Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco said the body of Scott Taneyhill, 57, was found inside his Skylark Drive home around 6:20 a.m. Warco said Taneyhill’s home had been set on fire.

The Associated Press reported that authorities said neighbors heard gunshots just after 6 a.m. and reported seeing smoke.
