Irene Yasenosky, 90, formerly of Smithfield, Pa. died September 13, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, West Virginia.

She was born in Leckrone, Pa. on November 28, 1925, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Spontak) Yasenosky.

She was a member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, St. Mary’s Leckrone, now St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, Pa.

She and her brother, Joseph, operated the family dairy farm for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Michael S. Yasenosky, John V. Yasenosky, Sr., Anna Latin, Mary Draxler, Rose Yasenosky, George E. Yasenosky, Sr., Elizabeth Ferruti, Ssgt Andrew R. Yasenosky and Olga Morgan.

She is survived by brother Joseph (Elizabeth) Yasenosky and niece Melani Zyla (Luke) with whom she made her home.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA, Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and Friday until 9:30 a.m. when a prayer service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, Pa. with Fr. William Berkey as Celebrant.

Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
