Man charged with indecent assault of 7-year-old
A 49-year-old man was charged earlier this week for allegedly touching a young child inappropriately in a Uniontown residence.
The 7-year-old girl told interviewers that Charles “Chaz” Bernard Drew, no address available, forced her to touch “his bad parts,” according to court documents.
She told the interviewer at A Child’s Place in Uniontown that the incident happened earlier this year. The girl said “no,” but “he didn’t listen,” said the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case.
The child later reported the incident to her cousin, according to the affidavit.
Court records indicate that Drew has served time in prison for crimes including aggravated assault, burglary and theft.
He is charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault and indecent exposure.
Drew’s preliminary arraignment is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday before Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros.
