Clara M. Sandorf
Clara M. Sandorf, age 90, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, in the Southwestern Veterans Center, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born on Friday, October 30, 1925, the daughter of John G. Mateosky and Veronica Plachko Mateosky.
Clara graduated from the former North Union High School, Class of 1943.
She was a long time member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, a faithful member of the parish Christian Mothers and a tireless volunteer parent at St. John Elementary and High Schools.
Clara was preceded in death by her devoted husband of nearly 70 years, Alfred F. Sandorf, Jr., her parents, daughter Judith S. Ewing Garofalo, and her brother John Mateosky.
Left to cherish her memory are children: Susan Frost and husband Bruce, Marilyn and husband Jeff Neubauer, Karen and husband David George, Michael Sandorf and wife Kathleen; son-in-law William Garofalo; grandchildren: J. D. Ewing and wife Melanie, Frank Ewing and wife Shannon, Jennifer Jubin and husband Robb, Jonathan Sandorf and wife Casey, Jessica Sandorf and Caitlin Blair; great grandchildren: James, Maggie, A.J., Zachary, Emma, Ethan, and Colin Ewing, George and Sam Jubin, and Catherine Sandorf; sister-in-law Polly Mateosky, sister-in-law Patricia Johnson and husband Gordon and brother-in-law Robert Sandorf; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pennsyl-vania on Sunday, October 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Monday, October 3 until 10:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pa, with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
