Belle Vernon man charged with dealing pills, marijuana
A Belle Vernon man was charged in Perryopolis for allegedly selling pills and marijuana.
Keenan Evans, 32, was charged with possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and 10 counts each of criminal use of a communication facility, sale of a controlled substance, purchase of a controlled substance from a person not authorized to sell and intent to deliver drug paraphernalia.
Perryopolis and state police found Evans at a 201 Liberty St. apartment March 25. He was allegedly found with anti-anxiety medications Xanax and Hydroxyzine, a muscle relaxer Carisoprodol, and marijuana, according to court documents.
Police obtained a search warrant for his phone, which allegedly revealed 13,000 individual messages discussing selling drugs. The majority of the conversations were about marijuana, but others allegedly involved heroin, pills, Suboxone strips, mushrooms, Ecstasy and other drugs, police said.
Evans is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
