Ella Louise (Swesey) Patek
Ella Louise (Swesey) Patek of Bitner, Pa., went to Eternal Paradise on April 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving and devoted family after multiple decades of illness and strokes.
Ella was born on July 22, 1938 in Layton, Pa., to the late Paul and Gertrude Swesey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Patek; step father, Andy Marsinek; her brother, Jack Swesey her sisters, Janet Maxinovich and Becky Perkins; brothers-in-law, Steve Patek, Andrew (Sarah) Patek, George Novak, and Joseph Uhal; and sister-in-law, Marie (Lenard) Lekavich
She is survived by her loving daughters: Darla (David) Dowling, Barbara (Greg) Wozniak, Susan (Donald) Phillips; brothers-in-law: George (Donna) Patek and John (Christine) Patek; sisters-in-law: Margaret Novak, Elizabeth Uhal, Anna (Thomas) Hvizdos, Bernadette (Donald) Stash and Sharane Patek; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by grandchildren: the Honorable Matthew (Rebecca) Dowling, Marissa (Brian) Lake, Maria Dowling, Lauren Wozniak, Parker Phillips; and great-grandchildren: Wilbert Pierce Dowling, Preston Dowling, and Riley Lake.
She was a graduate of the Uniontown Area High School, Class of 1957 and worked many years at the Gee Bee Department Store in Uniontown.
She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Connellsville for many years and most recently a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
Friends will be received in THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown Pa., on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 until 11:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, Pa., with Father Robert T. Lubic as the Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John Cemetery, Connellsville, Pa.
