A Perryopolis woman was arrested for allegedly hiding evidence after a man overdosed on heroin in her residence earlier this month.

When handing over the evidence, Crystal Yocolano, 37, of Locust Street allegedly admitted to giving her 17-year-old son marijuana to treat attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder.

Perryopolis police said Yocolano’s boyfriend overdosed on heroin in her trailer, April 12. She told police on the scene she did not know what he had taken. The man was revived with Narcan, according to court documents.

Police discovered during their investigation that Yocolano allegedly gave investigators a fake name and that she had a warrant out for her arrest out of Washington County. When she was being taken into custody on the warrant, she told police that she hid a heroin needle and stamp bags under a mattress.

She gave police multiple stamp bags, a hypodermic needle, marijuana and a suspected marijuana plant growing in an aquarium. She then asked her son to “go get all the drugs” in his room, saying she allows him to smoke marijuana.

Yocolano is charged with possession with intent to deliver, corruption of minors, false reports, false identification, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and three counts each of endangering the welfare of children, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance.

She is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
