John Relovsky “Lupy”
John M. “Lupy” Relovsky, age 90, of Brownsville, Pa., died on Monday, December 4, 2017.
He was born April 26, 1927 in Humphreys, Pa., to the late Charles and Gizela (Mraz) Relovsky.
Lupy was a member of the Frank Ricco Sons of Italy lodge 731, American Legion Post 295, Hiller Fire Hall and was the last Charter Member of the Fiddle’s Coffee Gang.
John was a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy.
Lupy greatly enjoyed people and had many great friends at Fiddle’s and the Hiller Fire Hall.
Right now Lupy’s advice would be to “Take it as it comes” and “Whatever.”
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret M. (Torchia) Relovsky.
John was the last member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Charles Relosky, Louis Relosky, Marie Roach, Ann Hegedus, Joseph Relosky, Michael Hajduk, John Hajduk, Andrew Hajduk, Bertha Hajduk and Mary Vereb.
He was a loving husband, father, grand father and truly loved and enjoyed his family.
He is survived by three children: John M. Relovsky Jr. and wife Patricia of Connellsville, Pa., Kimon D. Relovsky and wife Debra A. Valentino of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Vicki Comer of Durham, North Carolina; grandchildren: Lauren A. Coulson and husband Bill and Joshua Relovsky and wife Kaleena; and two great grandchildren: Aurelia Relovsky and Sloane Relovsky.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. where Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in The Historic Church of Saint Peter with the Rev. Father Timothy J. Kruthaupt as Celebrant.
Interment in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, with Full Military Rites/Honors accorded by the American Legion Posts 295, 940 and 838.
