Jo Ann Quarrick Altomonte
Jo Ann Quarrick Altomonte, age 64, of Hiller, PA passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1953 in Uniontown, PA daughter of the late William Quarrick and Barbara Patterson Quarrick.
Jo Ann was a very selfless individual and always was there to care for others throughout her entire life.
She graduated from Albert Gallatin High School with the class of 1971 and attended Penn State and West Virginia Universities where she studied nursing. Jo Ann was a member of St. Peters RC Church, Brownsville, and attended St. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her stepfather, William Mayfield; Brothers, Richard Quarrick, Robert Quarrick, William J. Mayfield, Joseph Mayfield, Earl Mayfield and a sister, Amy Poole.
In addition to her mother, Jo Ann is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Altomonte of Pittsburgh; A very close friend and companion, Andrew Murin; Brothers, Christopher Quarrick (Sandy), Mark Quarrick (Melinda) William Quarrick (Traci), John Mayfield (Kathy); Sisters Lisa Nickelson (Robert), Linda Miller (Rick), Billie Dunker, Joyce Matuszewski (Vince) and Sister in law Judy Quarrick. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where the family will receive friends from 3PM – 6PM on Friday, December 8. Visitation will continue Saturday, December 9 from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by Prayers of Transfer at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be private.
