Preliminary hearings 12-11-17

Several preliminary hearings were held this week in Fayette and Greene counties. The results include:

Alyssa T. Ortiz, 24, of Crucible was held for court on charges of attempted homicide, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, disorderly conduct and two counts each of aggravated assault and rioting Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge D. Glenn Bates.

She allegedly stabbed a man in the head on Grant Street in Nemacolin Nov. 21.

She is lodged in Greene County Prison in lieu of a 100,000 bond.

Sarah Marie Blake, 27, of Waynesburg was held for court on charges of open lewdness and disorderly conduct Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge Jesse Cramer.

She was charged for allegedly participating in a sex act in front of the elevator of Greene County Children & Youth Services at about noon Sept. 28 with Michael Rickard, 25, of Prosperity. Rickard was also charged and is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
