Joseph F. Duppe
Joseph F. Duppe, age 77, of New Salem, Pa., passed away Friday, December 22, 2017.
He was born May 18, 1940 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Joseph and Mary (Karaffa) Duppe.
Joe was a member of Saint Mary Orthodox Church, Masontown, Pa.
He owned/operated New Salem Motors for many years.
He retired from the Dilworth Mine and was a member of United Mine Workers of America.
Joe was proud to serve in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the New Salem American Legion Post 590.
He was a Life Member of the New Salem Volunteer Fire Department and served as Chief for many years.
An avid hunter and life member of the Fairbank Rod and Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Shimko) Duppe in 2010; and his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Katherine Feaganes and husband Jeff of Oakton, Virginia; his son, Andrew Duppe and wife Jamie of New Salem, Pa.; grand daughter, Aydan Duppe; grandson, Jeff Feaganes.

Friends will be received in ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 20 North Mill Street New Salem, Pa., on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, December 28, until 9:15 a.m. when a Panachida Service will be held.
An Orthodox Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary Orthodox Church, Masontown, Pa., with Reverend Father Stephan Gresh as the Celebrant.
Interment follows in Holy Trinity Cemetery, New Salem, Pa., where Military Rites/Honors will be accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa.
Parastas Service will be held in funeral home Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
