A Markleysburg woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend’s house and bit him.

Amanda Jayne Svenungsen, 28, of Markleysburg allegedly broke into Joshua Hall Jr.’s Sixth Avenue residence just before midnight Sunday through a basement window.

Hall told police Svenungsen was “going crazy and slamming things,” according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in her case.

She allegedly began assaulting him, and he took her out to the porch where she allegedly bit him on the shoulder. Police said the bite caused a large red mark and a bruise. Svenungsen allegedly smashed his hand in a door four times, causing bruising and swelling. She is charged with burglary and simple assault.

Svenungsen was arraigned Sunday morning before on-call Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. Shimshock and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $35,000 bond.
