Joseph Francis Uphold
Joseph Francis Uphold age 47, McClellandtown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born on October 8, 1969 in Uniontown, Pa.
Joe was a kind-hearted, wonderful husband and father who devoted his life to his family.
He enjoyed gardening, sitting on his porch swing, hunting, fishing.
He loved to pass baseball with his boys in the front yard and he was their biggest fan when they played sports in school.
Joe was proud to work in the Albert Gallatin School District for the past 15 years. He enjoyed his work there and had many co-workers that he called his friend.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 26 years, Marcy, and their two sons, Christopher and Colby, both at home. In addition, he is survived by his parents, William and Janet ‘Joanne’ (James) Kemerer of Leckrone, Pa., and his sister, Deborah Stoy and husband Jason of McClellandtown, Pa.; his two nephews, Garrett of Philipsburg, Pa., and Alex at home; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Helen James.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (Footedale worship site) with the Rev. Father William G. Berkey as the Celebrant.
Interment will be in Saint Thomas Cemetery, Footedale.
Joseph was a true blessing in the lives of those who knew him and he will forever be missed
