Marita Kathleen Avera
Marita Kathleen Avera, age 74, of Hershey,Pa., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Hershey Medical Center.
Born on April 9, 1942 in Spokane, Washington, the daughter of Lester and Marguerite (Densmore) Avera.
Marita was a member of the Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
She enjoyed crocheting and caring for her cats.
Marita was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Gene Avera.
Surviving are her daughter Claudia J. Bobb of San Jose, California; a sister, Pat Hawkins of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at SAINT JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, Mechanicsburg, Pa., with viewing held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Burial will take placein Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church 410 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
