Vera Rae (Wilhelm) DiMatteo
Vera Rae (Wilhelm) DiMatteo, age 91, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday evening, January 3, 2017 in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born on November 13, 1925 in Oliver, Pa., daughter of Charles Wilhelm and Mary (Cane) Wilhelm.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Dimatteo; granddaughter Christina Dimatteo; grandson, Timothy Dimatteo; brothers and sisters, Harold Wilhelm, Ruth Angle, Erma McNair, Sarah Martone, Martha Durbin, Jane Sparicio, Shirly Goggle, Betty Croftcheck, and Dorothy Campbell; and parents.
Vera was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She is survived by her children: Mary Ann Horwat and husband John of Uniontown, John J. Dimatteo Jr. and Crystal of Uniontown, Ruth Lynn Rosenberger and husband Clint of Philadelphia, Pa., Mark A. Dimatteo and Crystol of Uniontown, Theresa Simpson and husband Ronald of Uniontown; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., Friday, January 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m
A Funeral Mass will be said Saturday at 9:00 a.m in the Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. Please go directly to the Church.
Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
