Theodore Francis Sroka
Theodore Francis Sroka, age 92, Uniontown Pa., passed away on Tuesday morning, January 3, 2017 in the Point Manor North Nursing Center.
He was born February 14, 1924 in Monarch, Pa. the son of John Sroka and Stella (Jasilowski) Sroka.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Pauline (Fiffick) Sroka; his brothers, Edward Stroko, Joseph Sroka, Robert Sroka, and Eugene T. Sroka; and sisters, Donna Zuzak and Irene Skocik.
Ted was a member of the Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47.
He loved all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Pittsburgh Penguins, but most of all he loved college football.
He was a United States Veteran serving in the Navy during World War II and he enjoyed going to all of his Navy Squadron Reunions.
He worked for many years at Freuhauf Corporation in maintenance and repair.
He is survived by his loving children: Donald Sroka and wife Donna of Uniontown, Pa., and Sharon Sroka of McClellandtown, Pa.; sister Marle Matich of Connellsville, Pa.; sister-in-law, Mary Sroka of Cleveland, Ohio; long time friend and caregiver Barb; other relatives; and many friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Friday, January 6 2017 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday morning from 8 until 9 a.m. when Parting Prayers will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Joseph Roman Cathoic Church.
Interment will follow in the Mount Macrina Cemetery.
