Betty L. (Wilson) Smith
Betty L. (Wilson) Smith 81, died Friday, January 6, 2017 at Point Manor Personal Care Home in Point Marion, Pa.
Born October 5, 1935 at Sunshine, Nicholson Township, Fayette County Pa., daughter of Ernest Wilson and Isadora (Tarr) Wilson.
Betty had worked at the former Ronco Shirt Factory and later as a Housekeeper for the Thompson Family at Friendship Hill.
Her husband of 56 years, Jack D. Smith Sr., passed away on June 19, 2014. Also deceased are a daughter, Dora Ann Smith in 1964; two sisters, Shirley Baker and Mary Ellen Bucklew; one brother, Robert Wilson; and her parents.
Surviving are her three loving children and their spouses: Linda and Roy Brewer of Point Marion, Ruth Ellen and Bruce Graham of Smithfield, Pa., and Jack and Sheryl Smith Jr. of Providence, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and two sisters: Ruth Devinney of Fairchance, Pa., and Margaret ‘Peggy’ Ryczek of Smithfield, Pa.
Friends will be received in RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday until 11:00 a.m., the hour of the Service with Rev. Darrell Edgar officiating.
Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva, Pa.
