Indian Head man killed in early morning crash

A 41-year-old Indian Head man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Indian Creek Valley Road just before 2 a.m. Monday, according to state police.

Police identified the victim as Jason M. Craig.

Police said Craig’s Pontiac Sunfire went off the right side of Route 381 south of Hopewell Road and continued on the berm, which was covered in snow and ice.

His vehicle traveled back across the road, hit railroad ties and overturned, according to state police.

He was partially ejected and pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.

Indian Head fire department, Mutual Aid EMS and the Fayette County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
