Harry J. Naymick, 91, Uniontown, Pennsylvania died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Marquis Garden Place.

Harry was born March 5, 1925 in Friedens, Pennsylvania son of Andrew and Josephine (Rollinger) Naymick.

Harry proudly served his country during World War II as a United States Marine where he served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.

After the war, Harry married and moved to Uniontown where he worked as an Eyeglass Technician, employed at Berk’s Optical most of his working life.

Harry was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47.

Harry volunteered his time as a driver for Interfaith Caregivers and also helped at the church food pantry.

He participated in basketball, softball, and bowling leagues. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Mollie (Strasiser) Naymick; brother Andrew Naymick sister, Dorothy Lowe; and his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Patricia Chin, DNS, and husband Dr. William Chin of Monterey Park, California, and Mark Naymick and wife Jane of Uniontown, Pa.; grand children: William Chin and wife Roisin, Pamela Chin, Andrew Naymick and wife Genna, Michelle Naymick and fiancé Jack, Jennifer Naymick and fiancé John; great grandchildren: Catherine Jones, Charlotte Jones, and Lyra Chin; sister, Elizabeth Ogline and husband Robert; brothers: John Naymick and wife Joann and Robert Naymick; brother -in-law, Frank and his wife Aletta; and several nieces and nephews.

The family sincerely thanks the caregivers at Marquis Gardens, 365 Hospice, and sitters, Joy, Lori, Krista, Becca, Bev, and his friend, Mary

Friends will be received at STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., Thursday, January 12, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday, January 13, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. in Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Anderson officiating.

Entombment will be held in Sylvan Heights Chapel of Memories Mausoleum, Uniontown.
