CULPEPER, VIRGINIA

Charles E. ‘Chuck’ Boyd, 88, of Culpeper, Virginia for 29 years and formerly of Fairfax, Virginia died on Sunday, January 15, 2017.

He was born to Harry P. and Audie Mae Martin Boyd in Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Boyd served his country in the United States Army during World War Two.

He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Violet M. Boyd; his parents; and his siblings, Jean Volker, Harry Boyd, and William Boyd.

He is survived by his six children: Charles A. Boyd, Linda M. Wells, Betsy K. Montgomery, Richard L. Boyd, Irene F. Smith, and James E. Boyd; nine grandchildren Jim, Sherry, Amy, Brandy, Cindy, Amanda, Alex, Charles Thomas, and Katherine; 19 great grandchildren; and his sister, Ruth Ann Surgent.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of the CLORE-ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701 (540.825.2361) on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service and then will have a time of fellowship immediately following the service at the Reva Volunteer Fire Department.
