Several preliminary hearings were held this week in Fayette County. The results include:

Ronald Charles McPartland, 55, of Star Junction was held for court on attempted criminal homicide and other charges. A second count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was added to his charges before his preliminary hearing Wednesday. McPartland allegedly slashed Matthew Fafalios in the face with a large knife, causing severe bleeding after a verbal altercation in his home. He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $300,000 bond.

A case lodged against Kevin Alan Williamson, 28, of Uniontown was dismissed Wednesday. He had been charged with aggravated assault and related charges after he was accused of hitting Shawn Long in the head with a rock after an argument on Clover Street in Brownsville.
