Barbara L. (Stoner) Fordyce, R.N.
Barbara L. Fordyce, R.N., 75, of Pittsburgh, Pa., peacefully embarked on her next adventure on Sunday, January 22, 2017
She was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on October 2, 1941 to Christian Stoner and Virginia Freed.
Barbara was a Registered Nurse for 30 years. She retired from the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in 2000. Being a nurse was her passion.
She also loved working with crafts and her hands. Barbara enjoyed traveling to the beach and sitting beneath her palm trees.
She was preceded in death by her father, Christian Stoner; mother, Virginia Evelyn; and son, Vernon Christian Fordyce.
Barbara is survived by her beloved spouse of 55 years, Vernon I. Fordyce; her son, Mark Alan (Angela) Fordyce; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Fordyce; sister, Linda Williams; brother-in-law, Richard Lee (Lorelei) Fordyce; four grandsons: Matthew Aaron Fordyce, Luke Christian Fordyce, Derek Bonus and Jason Bonus; granddaughters: Ashley Nicole Fordyce and Jessica Marie Fordyce; five great grand sons: Destyn, Amari, Kayden, Damien, Ayden; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA 15236.
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
