Wanda Welling, A member of the Perry Players

Wanda Welling, age 93, of Canton, Michigan and formerly of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away on January 21, 2017.

She was born in Perry Township, Pa., February 12, 1923 a daughter of William M. Baker and Clara R. Hixonbaugh.

She was part of Daughters of American Colonies, Perry Players, and Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by parents; her loving husband Theodore Welling Jr.; and son Gary

She is survived by her son, Damon Welling and his wife Karen of Canton, Michigan; and brothers: Duane Baker and James Baker. She was the proud grandma of Andrea (Bill) Gillies and Ted (Diane) Welling; and the great grandma of Sam, Amelia, Kathleen and Derek.

Wanda’s family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, January 26, 2017 in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa. Additional visitation will take place on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of her Funeral Service with Pastor Derek Platt officiating.

Interment will be in the Mount Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis.
